Functional Nutrition is more than just weight loss. It is looking at how each person’s body functions as a whole to determine what might be going on in there and an examination of what may be the root cause for dysfunction. It is nutrition and lifestyle care focused on building health by restoring proper function. For example, are they digesting fats or proteins properly? are they sleeping? What about hormone imbalance, what about blood sugar levels? How is their gut working? Are there food sensitivities? All of these things contribute to issues a client is having including being unable to shed weight.
Together we look at their whole life story to find out what may not be working properly. Happily what fixes the biggest issues may be the answer to most all of the other problems. It may take some detective work and time but everyone can be helped by being treated functionally and treatment can work well in conjunction with a medical diagnosis.

How often do you work with clients?
At the beginning of our work together, I often meet with clients once each week, then transition to every other week or longer depending upon the client’s needs and preferences.
How long do you work with clients?
The average length of time I work with a client is approximately two to three months, but it can be longer depending upon the issues to be resolved.
Do I need to make big changes in my diet?
It is up to each client but is something we would discuss together. We will explore what is reasonable for the results you want to achieve, and changes are made incrementally to ensure lasting healthy habits are formed.
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately, I am unable to accept insurance at this time. However, by purchasing coaching session packages, clients can realize additional discounts.
How much does it cost?
